HighSight is a new and innovative aerial filming company that combines professional photographic skills and experience with the latest in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). We help our clients to rise above the competition with stunning imagery that shows them from a new and exciting perspective.
HighSight is a trading arm of Blue Harbour Creative Media, and unlike many UAV operators, our background is in commercial video and photography. For over twenty-five years we have been helping our clients to portray their products, services and facilities in the very best light, with dynamic imagery and footage that sets them apart from the competition.
We have always been at the forefront of adopting new technologies and techniques, so when unmanned aerial vehicles capable of lifting professional cameras started becoming commercially available in 2013, it was inevitable that we would start investigating their potential.
We have now invested considerable time and effort into the technology and have perfected how the system can be properly and safely used. We have undergone rigorous training, developed and documented flight procedures and have spent many hundreds of hours learning how to get the best out of the equipment. Consequently, we became fully licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in January 2014.
How it works
We operate XXXXX UAVs. These are six-rotor platforms capable of lifting up to XX kg payloads. The UAVs are used to carry professional-grade camera equipment which, depending on the task, range from GoPro Hero 2 HD video cameras through to Canon EOS Digital SLRs.
During the shoot, the UAV is operated by the pilot, whilst the cameraman monitors the footage and controls the camera. This allows the pilot to focus on a safe flight and leaves the cameraman free to get the best possible footage.
